If that's true, my only thought is it's not able to get a good enough bite at cruising speed to keep the bow down, even when fully trimmed. Before I drop a bunch of money on a new prop, do you think it could be the cause of my issues? Per Sea Ray, "it's too much prop for that boat". With all that being said, the HighFive is an expensive prop. They are blaming the prop and told me they've never installed a HighFive on a 200 BR. I've also verified in the water the lower unit does trim all the way down. It feels like I'm unable to get the bow down far enough to cut through rough chop. He also said the hull design should be able to handle up to 3' wake with no issues. I've spoken to the local Sea Ray dealer and the Service Manager said he's driven countless 200's and 210's and has never seen this issue. I've actually thrown my wife and son on the floor before below cruising speed in 1-2' chop. If there are any other boats out, I have to keep it trimmed all the way down to keep from throwing passengers around. In addition to the porpoising, I have little confidence in the boats ability to take any chop over a foot or so. I could have issues with my trim sender but anything over 1/2 trim and the prop starts to cavitate and/or ventilate and I have to bring it back down (may also be normal for this boat). I've also made sure to not load heavy gear towards the back and ensured there wasn't excessive water in the bilge. Even with two adults, the toddler, and dog in the bow, It would porpoise if I started trimming up. This past weekend I had 4 adults, a toddler, and a beagle in the boat. I can only get close to 1/2 if the water is glass but even then it will sometimes start to porpoise. The boat porpoises like crazy if I put the trim over a 1/4, sometimes less. Lastly, I typically cruise 3-3400 RPM which is normally 28-34 MPH. No complaints with hole shot, seems to plane out fairly quickly. We also do some skiing & tubing on occasion. We typically stick to local IN and KY lakes but occasionally will go out on the Ohio River which can get a bit choppy. The previous owner installed a 21P HighFive prop. With 4-5 people and gear, I max around 45-4600. WOT I can hit 5000 RPM in smooth conditions with my wife and I. It has a 5.0L MPI Mercruiser (260 HP) Alpha 1 gen 2 (1.62 gear ratio). I purchased a 2002 Sea Ray 200 Bowrider last fall.
